Right before the pandemic started and stay at home orders were issued, I was embarking on a partnership with Seattle Urban Wineries. The organization was gearing up for its 4th annual event called Pour. I was going to assist with social media in order to raise awareness of this fun event. Then, all gatherings were put on hold. Now, the realization that this consumer tasting experience is not going to take place this year has set in. These artisan wineries still eagerly desire to connect with more wine lovers, nevertheless. In fact, their livelihoods depend on it.

This undertaking is near and dear to my heart. The member wineries are locally owned. When you shop with them, review them, and support them you’re backing entrepreneurs who decided to take a risk. The people behind these businesses choose to act on their desire to offer something distinctive to the community. These are my people.

Get Engaged

VinoSocial is providing these wineries coaching and guidance on how get more active on social media. You can help! Follow Seattle Urban Wineries on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter. Then post about them on social media and tag Seattle Urban Wineries as well as the specific winery. Like, comment, and share their posts. Let’s give them something to talk about!

If you’re ready to go out, possibly visit a Seattle tasting room. Alternatively, order wines online. Perhaps consider how wines and gift cards may be part of your holiday and/or corporate gifting. Some wineries offer local delivery and/or curbside pickup so explore your options.

Now, let’s get a bottle of wine on your dinner table! For inspiration, check out the VinoSocial guide to Pairing Pasta Marinara with Washington Wine.
