Hi, I’m Nancy Croisier, founder of VinoSocial.
“I see you offer wine and food pairing classes,” I began in my initial phone call to the Northwest Wine Academy. The inquiry was met with an enthusiastic reply, encouraging me to sit in on a class one evening. So I did. That’s when everything changed.
Following that night I enrolled in the school and left corporate life behind. Through the Northwest Wine Academy two certificates were attained, one in Wine Sales and Marketing as well as one in Wine and Food Pairing. Next came the prestigious designation of Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) from the Society of Wine Educators after passing the difficult qualifying examination. Topics covered included viticulture, grape varieties, wine production, wine regions of the world, and wine tasting. Additionally, my studies have been complemented by travel to over 30 wine regions. While attending school, my career in the wine industry began.
Work began in a shop, purchasing wine and making selections to pair with menus crafted by James Beard award winning chefs. Things progressed to working with family owned wineries, developing the initial social media presence and marketing strategies. The work has been fun and gratifying.
Now I’m on a mission to get wineries to join the conversation on social media, and bring wine brands and consumers together. Wine is more memorable when you know the stories behind it. If you’re a winery short on time, hire me.
I’m honored to have worked and partnered with celebrated brands and associations in my career including:
- Auction of Washington Wines
- Avennia
- Belle & Bottle Wine Awards
- Damsel Cellars
- EFESTĒ
- Esquin Wine and Spirits
- Davenport Cellars

Disclosure: I do work with wineries and wine brands. Should a client provide a sample for review, complimentary travel, or other form of compensation, it will be noted. Commentary reflects my own views. Clients do not pre-approve what is being written on the VinoSocial blog.
